2009 Shortlists

The Wheel and Fundraising Ireland are proud to announce the shortlist for the 2009 National Fundraising Awards. A panel of independent judges selected a winner in each category, and the winners were announced a special awards ceremony at Dublin's Four Seasons Hotel on Tuesday, 20 October.


  • Fundraiser of the Year Shortlist  ( 3 items )

    Sooner Than Later - sponsors of the 'fundraiser of the year' categoryFor the fundraiser staff member who, in the view of their peers, has shown consistent excellence and best practice in achieving high quality fundraising through either their own efforts or their vision and strategy.

    The shortlisted candidates for the sub category "large organisations" are shown below.  The judges opted not to release a shortlist for the sub category "small organisations", but a winner will be selected.

  • Fundraising Campaign of the Year Shortlist  ( 5 items )

    CSDM - sponosors of the 'campaign of the year' categoryFor a campaign that shows significant success and innovation in fundraising. Specific innovative ideas and new treatments of current fundraising techniques will also be considered, as will the adoption of existing practice in a new and innovative fashion, or in a sector where that practice has hitherto been little used.

    The shortlisted nominations for the sub category of campaigns run by large organisations are shown.  The judges opted not to release a shortlist for the sub category of campaigns run by small organisations.

  • Best Volunteer Fundraiser over €100,000  ( 4 items )

    Support Direct - sponsor of the category This award recognises the enormous contribution made to fundraising throughout Ireland by volunteers. The Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year award is made to someone, or a team of people, who by their hard work, dedication and example have made a major difference to the charity or charities for whom they have worked. Note that this award is not intended for paid staff members of charities.

    The shortlisted nominations for the sub caregory "more than €100,000 raised" are shown.

  • Best Volunteer Fundraiser under €100,000  ( 4 items )
